These lessons were designed for a spring break and summer camp at the local community center.  Students were aged 6-12, and in camp from 9am - noon, Monday -Friday.  Additionally, these camps were included in my Master's thesis, parents and students granted permission to be online as well as part of the research cohort.   A camp day was divided into 3 parts with two 15 minute breaks.  Lessons overlapped throughout the week.  Scaffolding was employed to get the campers comfortable with the computers, by the third day, campers were working independently, and I took on the role of facilitator, often giving up the "big screen" for the students to teach each other what they discovered or created in Photoshop.  Campers were given a daily "to-do" list, which included skill building, but also posting artwork online as well as doing a critique on their art and comment on the art of others.  Word cheat sheets were made to assit the 6 year olds in the camp so they could write words without mis-spelling.   While no grade or certificate was given all students diligently completely all tasks given, and requested a copy of Photoshop to take home.  Hopefully we will have some future graphic artists.
